About Jill Rilla and Strong Successful Women
I think it’s kind of fun that my name sounds like gorilla. Jill Rilla, Jill Rilla, Jill Rilla.
You laughed, didn’t you! The name sounds fun, but rather than having a real gorilla I adopted cats, one wretched and one sweet. They swap personalities regularly in order to keep me off balance, a tactic that works reasonably well. Otherwise they wouldn’t do it, right?
So here I am, living the best part of my life, no regrets, no excuses. By day I’m a corporate maven (I’ve also started and led several non-profits, and I’ve been a freelance designer), and by night I’m a devilishly happy writer. You’re looking at my newest project, Strong Successful Women. It arose from the fabric of the universe in mid-March 2010, and is slowly but certainly taking shape. I hope it will be an authentic, helpful, and inspiring resource for the strong, successful women you and I are becoming.
I also have a site called Smokin’ Hot Sex Tips. It’s a fun way for me to post the sexiest, steamiest stuff I’m always thinking about anyway!
Oh, and I’m am amateur boxer. I train hard three times a week (weights, cardio, cardio) so that twice a week I can lace up my gloves and go five or six rounds in the boxing ring. One of my current goals in life is to develop a bitch of a double left hook. I’m sure you’ll hear more about boxing, fitness, and nutrition here as we go along. I hope to hear what you’re doing, or hope to do, too.
I have three sons at home — preteens and teens — and a husband who helps me keep the lid on our house so that we don’t all explode and bother the neighbors. And no, they aren’t the least interested in boxing, although recently I was featured on the front page of our local paper doing my boxing thing and my fifteen-year-old asked for two copies to take to school to show off with. I’ll treasure that thought even more than the feature story!
Hm, what else? I’m terrified of heights but I fly all the time in my dreams. It makes me queasy but I seem to keep doing it.
So why are you still here? Go poke around Strong Successful Women and leave me a comment somewhere. I’ll look forward to chatting with you!

Jill, Jill..
What can I say? Love the site. From a man’s point of view, I think all women should be here and read this stuff! It would save a lot of marriages.
I recently said of FB, ‘Ladies, if you want your man to come home at night, give him something to come home to.”
Thanks,
Reuben
/bows/ Thanks, Reuben, for the kind words. And a hearty “amen” to the sentiment!
Hi Jill! I was initially interested in your stuff but noticed you don’t have ANY pictures of yourself posted anywhere. Do you have a picture to share? I find it hard to connect without a picture. =). Thanks!
